Commissioned by the de Moncorps family, the Comte de Choulot designed the park of the chateau de Fertot.

The present château was rebuilt in the 1840s on the foundations of the previous house, which is thought to have been an oratory or a monastery.

The de Savigny family occupied the property until the early 1960s, after which it was left abandoned for over 20 years.

It was bought by the present owners in 1991 and they have been restoring it ever since. The result is a beautiful property with a wonderfully tranquil feel. The park is now listed (“inscrit”) as a monument historique.
